Sanya Simmons is a Black Latina American woman, and while she doesn’t speak Spanish, her love for her Abuela grounded Sanya in her Afro-Cuban heritage. She’s the down-to-earth cool mom everyone can talk to who lovingly tells it like it is, even when that’s hard to hear. Sanya’s also the sweet, sometimes naïve, girl who’s in love with being in love. Need someone to explain something in terms that anyone can understand? That describes Sanya, too!

Sanya’s alto voice is warm, grounded, genuine, textured, and credible. She enjoys Rom Com, Cozy Mystery, YA, Memoir, Romance, True Crime and Crime Fiction, and Thriller genres. Non-fiction topics that are sure to catch Sanya’s interest are those involving African American History and Current Issues, Social Justice, Inclusivity, LGBTQTSI+, Mental Health, and Spirituality.

Sanya Simmons is also a musician and the author of A Single Mom’s Guide to Raising Black (Gentle)Men. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, APA, PANA, and NAVA.

Sanya's Pseudonym, Sondra Symone, is a queer, femme, Black, kink-friendly narrator. She loves romance (bonus points for Black romance), happily ever after, BDSM, and power exchange. Sondra is comfortable with both M/F and F/F romance. Her favorite stories include a little mystery/suspense wrapped up in a love story.
