Originally from the Midwest and currently based in Los Angeles, Sharmila Devar has over 25 years’ experience performing in TV, film, commercial, animation and theater projects. She is best known for her role of Lauren Wellman on ABC's SCANDAL for 3 seasons, and for voicing Countess Ursa Wren in the STAR WARS animated universe.

As a narrator, she has voiced a wide-range of audiobooks (single & multi-narrator and fiction & non-fiction) with a specialty in South Asian diaspora stories, Hollywood history and Romances. Her narration has been described as “vivid and full of emotion…” and her work has been praised by Library Journal and IND’tale Magazine (2021 RONE Nominee). A University of Chicago graduate and a voracious reader, she counts her curiosity of complicated humans and her passion to bring all their varied stories to life as two of her core values.
