Our Talent

Sara Sheckells isn’t a witch but she has played the part on and off since toddlerhood. Waker-upper of teens, mother of doggos, and architecture aficionado – Sara is a woman of a certain age whose roots in storytelling are set in the suburban surrounds of Boston.

Growing up between an indie bookstore and an antiques shop. Storytelling, in all its forms drew Sara to pursue a patchwork of studies in radio, television, and writing. She was a DJ and costumed tour guide before launching a long-term career in academia.

Sara came to audiobook narration as an avid listener and long-time dabbler in vocal performance. Fueled by experiences in counseling and course instruction, her vocal delivery is equal parts empathetic and authoritative. Forever bookish, she has a fondness for magical realism, memoirs, feminist works (scholarly and literary) and anything featuring dogs and/or witches.
