Bio

I am a multiple Earphone award winning British audiobook narrator on over 300 titles. Over the past 7 years I have been lucky enough to work with many of the big producers and publishers in the UK and US on titles as wide ranging as Alison Weir’s “Queens in the Age of Chivalry “to Sarah Vaughan’s “Anatomy of a Scandal”.

I am based in a quiet town just the right distance from London, where I live with my husband, two children and “loopy”doodle dog. Just over 10 years ago, inspired by wanting my children to live their dreams, I left my City finance career to go to ArtsEd Drama School for an MA in Acting.

I self-published my first novel and recorded the audiobook, The Way Home. I am turning my play about Boudicca into an audio drama, collaborating with friends and my daughter. I am currently writing my second novel based on Helena Normanton’s journey to being the first woman barrister to practice in England.

I love narrating in most genres but have a particular attachment to historical fiction, murder mysteries and history. I would have loved to have narrated Hamnet by Maggie O’Farrell.have been described as silky-voiced by The Times in Audiobook of the Week but my greatest compliment is when a writer says I have captured the voice in their head or brought life to characters in a way they hadn’t expected.

I enjoy playing with accents and character voices and have a host of British, European and American accents to draw from. As well as my natural voice I have expanded my repertoire to narrate in Southern and Northern Irish accents, British Northern, Welsh, British South- East and mid-Atlantic.
